Sharing the passion of the ocean

Press ReleaseLa Gazette MAG Edition Sept 2019 Pg 31

Antonio Lamarque and his son Luciano have inherited the passion for the ocean. For four generations, the men of the family have practiced all forms of fishing. But for more than twenty years, father and son share this passion with fishermen from around the world.

At the foot of the imposing silhouette of Morne Brabant, in the South-West of the island, an elegant Cabin Cruiser 13 meters (40 feet) is waiting for its future passengers. This boat, baptized Maranatha, was build by Antonio's hands! One year full of hard work, despite incredulity general ... The result will however quickly silence the criticism. Comfortable, good sailor and fast, with its two 135hp engines, Maranatha is cut for fishing!

On board, Antonio and Luciano criss-cross, all year round, a fishing area from Le Morne to Albion, up to 12 nautical miles from the coast. They take experienced fishermen having scoured all the oceans, looking bigger marlin, as well as families just wanting to spend a day at sea, to see whales or to swim with dolphins. Trolling, with artificial lures or live bait, catches are plentiful and varied: dorado, bonito, yellow or white tunas, marlins blue or black, sailing swordfish, barracudas ...

"The important thing," says Antonio, "is to meet the customer's expectations. When we go out with real experienced fishermen, who are looking for the biggest fish, those that we can not hoist on board until after an exhausting struggle, we are happy to allow them to bring back beautiful marlins ... but when we embark a family that just wants to have fun, swim with the dolphins, do a little troll and bring back, maybe, some fish ... we take so much pleasure! " So, whatever your fishing experience, do not hesitate to contact Antonio and Luciano: it's the guarantee of an unforgettable day!
