"The best fishing experience we have ever had"

The best fishing experience we have ever had. The whole process- from booking the boat to meeting up and going on the trip was excellent. We were staying at The Lux le Morne and had previously been out o a boat with the hotel - which was a very underwhelming experience. Happily we chanced upon some great reviews for Maranatha’s fishing and snorkeling trips and decided to investigate further. The website was very good and we decided to contact Maranatha through Google Chat. We asked a load of questions which were answered quickly by Luciano and then booked a four hour afternoon trip to go big game fishing. I had been Marlin fishing before but my (new) husband had not.We turned up at the beach in front of our hotel to be taxi’d in a speed boat to the fishing boat. It was big and there were areas up top and also a great roomy cabin with plenty of shade. Both of us wore our beach shoes which was good as  the back of the boat did get slippy as the crew continually washed down after every catch.It turned out to be the trip of a lifetime - we caught a total of 18 Skipjack tuna and one great big yellowfin tuna which my husband reeled in after a good 15 minutes of drama! The boat is well equipped, these guys were great with their instructions and help landing the fish and they found all the best fishing spots with expertise. We know it is always hit and miss to get a catch but we were lucky. However had we not had much luck it still would have been a great afternoon on a lovely boat with a great crew.This trip was very much the highlight of our trip to Mauritius and we would recommend Maranatha to amateurs and experienced fishers alike.
